Ohio State vs. Penn State & Miami vs. Duke: Key Wins in College Football Week 10

BY  remi

It’s November now and that means the college football season, where playoff contenders will have the last try to prove to the committee before the first weekly rankings will be out this Tuesday.

The fourth-ranked Ohio State was able to upstage the third-ranked Penn State with a score of 20-13 in a game that saw the Ohio State putting up a spirited last-minute goal line stand.

The win was also the Buckeyes’ first time to defeat a top-5 team on the road since 2006 and was the 12th triumph over Penn State in the last 13 encounters.

From what could be seen on the field within the first few minutes of the game, a pick-six gave Penn State a 10-0 lead, but then its offense did not score much until late in the third quarter to only score three points.

Much of that had to do with the Buckeyes holding Allar and the Warriors offense on to three points from the red zone as they intercepted the quarterback and also got a turnover on downs.

Ohio State against the spread after the Berea interception and fumble, Howard completed 16 of 24 passes, threw for 182 yards, two touchdowns and one more game-deciding scramble. The Buckeyes are now 7-1 overall and 4-1 in conference play with the victory.

While the Penn State Nittany Lions 7-1, 4-1 fell to their first defeat, the College Football Playoffs are still within reach with no scheduled AP Top 25 opponents left on their agenda. In addition, Ohio State has won its first road game, which assists its CFP standing and puts it in position to play in the Big Ten Championship game. In a few weeks, OSU is scheduled to meet No. 13 Indiana.

Louisville gave a message win by defeating No. 11 Clemson 33-21 at Memorial Stadium and thus ending the Tigers’ unbeaten streak in the ACC. Tyler Shough and Isaac Brown, who are personal accountants for the Cardinals, directly accounted for three touchdowns—all on the ground.
