Eagles Left Speechless by Saquon Barkley’s Unbelievable Reverse Hurdle

Nick Sirianni, a talkative Eagles coach, was left “speechless” after Saquon Barkley’s reverse hurdle over a defender during Philadelphia’s 28-23 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

“It was the best play I’ve ever seen,” Sirianni said. It’s such a cool thing for me and probably for most of the inhabitants of this planet when every kid throughout America and specifically in Philadelphia will try to emulate that play, discuss this play, and eventually rehearse this play when playing backyard football or peewee football.

I don’t think they are going to be able to make it and I think he is the only one in the world that is capable of doing it.

I'm speechless. It was unbelievable." First down and goal to go came on third and six early in the second period, with Barkley taking a flat pass from Hurts, breaking the first tackle and spinning past Devin Lloyd, who grabbed at thin air, thinking he had him.

That was just the tip of the iceberg as far as Barkley was concerned. He then stepped so that his back was towards the cornerback, Jarrian Jones, leapt and sprung over Jones blindly over to gain 5 additional yards on what in essence was a 14-yard run play.

Stands that were packed with fans due to the tournament’s quarterfinal stage stood up, only to start looking at each other in amazement. That was another thing I had to give credit to God, man.

I'm not going to lie ... I don’t know how; maybe God blessed me to play this position and he gave me some instincts. Sometimes you have to sit there and relinquish control and let them—let God and your gut do the talking,” Barkley added.

This wasn't the first time Barkley has pulled off this move: He leapt over an Iowa defender his sophomore year at Penn State but classified that one as “not so cool.”. This one was off the charts.
