Speaking on her ascent to popularity over the past year, Sabrina Carpenter has highlighted how ideal Taylor Swift is as a role model.
Speaking on CBS’s Sunday Morning show, the Espresso singer-songwriter—who has opened for Swift multiple times on the Eras Tour—shared, “You just see her walk in a room and it’s very obvious to tell that she’s so composed, she’s graceful, she’s nice. I wouldn’t say it’s a verbal issue as much as, like, she is quite supportive of me and knows who I am personally and is quite supporting of that. I so am appreciative of that.
Carpenter’s ascent to popularity seems explosive, but in reality, her first single’s release ten years ago marks her path.
The Short n’ Sweet performer said of the ascent to stardom: “individual, unique experience”.
“You basically sort things out as you go along. Though I realize that seems a bit nebulous, I truly believe that you discover the individuals you surround yourself with that make you feel comfortable and then proceed from there.”
The vocalist just revealed dates for a UK and European tour, which Rachel Chinouriri will be special guest on next year. Starting at 3Arena in Dublin on March 3, the shows take place in Birmingham, London, and Manchester as well.

25, the “Espresso” singer, claimed during a conversation with Tracy Smith on CBS Sunday Morning that she utilized her “not-even-biased opinion” when casting the video, while she also acknowledged that the Oscar-nominated actor was seated right next to her.
The musician chuckled before outlining the choice as Smith questioned Carpenter why she would choose 31-year-old Keoghan as her love interest in the video if she wanted to keep her love life private.
“I was like, ‘Who’s the greatest actor that I can find for this music video?’ really — like, not even biassed opinion?” And he was seated next to me. Carpenter added. And he was really enthralled with it.
Additionally a favorite of Keoghan’s was “Please Please,” which is thought to have cheeky lyrical references to the Saltburn star.
“And he enjoys the music, which is fantastic. Carpenter remarked, “He’s a fan of the song,” adding that the actor “do like my music a lot, yeah.”
Carpenter has stayed very quiet about her romance, which a source previously reported to PEOPLE as “on and off” — since the two initially started fueling dating rumors in late 2023.
