That dip landed Joker 2 in third place North American box office. Ironically, another clown was occupying the top spot: horror sequel Terrifier 3 started at #1 nationally with $ 18.2 million. With $13.4 million, DreamWorks Animations’ highly praised The Wild Robot ranked second on its third weekend.
Completing the top five were Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, grossing just a little less than Joker: Folie à Deux with $7 million, and animated Pharrell Williams biographical Piece by Piece with $3 million.
