According to a new report from Marvel’s Scooper account, Marvel News, Thor and Loki will meet during the Avengers: Doomsday event and reunite for the film’s final act. They branded the scoop as a “rumor” for now but is worth mentioning as it isn’t the first time that the reunion of Asgardian brothers has been whispered to take place in the near future, although most speculated that it will take place in Avengers: Secret Wars.
Thor is one of the original Avengers, and actually one of the very few that are still attached to the franchise after so many years. We last saw this character in Thor: Love and Thunder 2022 when he fought Gorr the God Butcher and ended up adopting Gorr’s daughter as his own to call her Love.

Tom Hiddleston reprised his role for two seasons of Disney Plus’ Loki, which ended up with Trickster offering the final sacrifice. Loki emerged as the new God of Stories with the total annihilation of the Sacred Loom at the Time Variance Authority, running all branched timelines and stories from a throne at the end of time. It all goes through him, and it was a noble sacrifice to make as it made sure that he had the one thing out in this world he never thought he had: People he cared about.
Fans have been waiting for Thor to reunite with Loki so that he can see the noble hero that this version of his brother grew into. While Thor’s own Loki redeemed himself, he did it all with his brother by his side; this Loki did it on his own, learning of his fate and going out of his way to change who he was. And as a result, he grew into a hero of all things.
With Avengers: Doomsday as a requirement to wrap up the Multiverse Saga, it will be no shock that Loki calls are made once more so soon as it is he who guards the timelines. Meanwhile, likely kicking off the battle of The Avengers against the new multiverse threat, Doctor Doom, the brothers will seemingly have their long-awaited reunion when those two things collide.
